ABB’s Electro-Pneumatic Positioner, the TZIDC Intelligent Series (also referred to as “smart” positioners), offers exceptional precision, versatile control capabilities, and effortless setup through auto stroke functions. It excels in mounting on control valves with rotary actuators using standard Namur mounting hardware and is suitable for linear control valves. Features include gauge block options and analog/digital feedback.
The standard TZIDC-100 model (V18345) supports HART communication and Profibus, while TZIDC-110 (V18346) is equipped with Profibus, and TZIDC-120 (V18347) offers Fieldbus compatibility. This positioner can be configured for single and double acting actuators, with fail-safe options (open or close) or fail-freeze (hold last position).
Its automatic control parameter determination and adaptation to the final control element save significant time and enhance control performance. The TZIDC is suitable for both general-purpose and hazardous areas, featuring intrinsically safe barriers and FM/CSA and ATEX certifications.
The built-in operating panel includes a 2-line LCD display and four operating buttons for commissioning, configuration, and real-time monitoring. Alternatively, users can employ the appropriate configuration program via the available communication interface.
